Mother’s Day is a holiday where we all really want to spoil our Mother’s and make them feel really special. However we don’t always have extravagant budgets, which makes it harder to find a gift worthy of our dear mums. So in this blog post I have been set a budget of £20.00 for a Mother’s Day gift challenge, to find a gift which will put a smile on Mum’s face.
I need to therefore find an item/items that come to a combined total of £20.00 or under.
I first looked online to see what bargains I could find to put in my Mothers day gift package. I looked on the Next website and came across the Next Clearance section. Next online have a clearance section that has items with up to half price off. There have some seriously out of date/end of line stock, but there are some real bargains to be had also. I bought a lot of pretty jewellery for my Mother’s day present and also bought some handbags to put in my gift collection.
I next scoured the local pound shops to see what was on offer. There are always a few good items to be had. I actually didn’t find anything specific to Mother’s day that I liked. But I found a glass jar I liked with a copper lid. I also bought a box of chocolates so I could fill the jar and assemble it with the other Mother’s day gifts I bought. I thought this was a good idea as you can keep the Jar once you’ve eaten the chocolate and it can be useful for a number of things.

So here are my final Mother’s day gifts all put together. I want to show you a few variations of the same gift style, to give you an idea of how you can play around with things. All the items that have been put together are under £20.00

The above gift collection cost £12.00. The necklace cost £5.00, the earrings were £4.00 and the Jar with chocolates was £3.00.
All these gift ideas are under the £20.00 mark. These are a few ideas, but you can chop and change to suit your taste. You can add a nice cup and saucer or a watch. Cater it to what your Mum would like. Shop around, there are lots of bargains around.
Now you could pick up a nice bunch of flowers for £20, nothing wrong with that or you could create your own little hamper for the same price and really spoil Mum.
Let me know what you guys think. I would love to hear what you’re getting your Mum for mother’s day? Try your own £20.00 challenge and send me photos. I would love to see them.
Finally a Happy Mother’s day to all the Mums out there. You are all awesome.
