I’ve recently put together a TK Maxx Valentines gift hamper for all you lovely people. I love going to TK Maxx and hunting down little bits and bobs. They have an array of things that get my artistic juices flowing. I always get lots of ideas whilst walking around and I hope you’ll find inspiration from this post to go and create your own ideas.
I’ve decided to create another Valentines Gift hamper, but something that is completely non-traditional. Don’t get me wrong, I like the traditional reds and pinks, but I much prefer creating something unique and out of the box. There is a lot more work that goes into this, but the results are fantastic and anyone receiving this will definitely appreciate the extra effort. If you do want ideas on how to create a traditional Valentines gif hamper, you can take a look at my other post.
How to create a Valentines Gift Hamper
Whilst looking around I saw a fantastic selection of decorative plates. TK Maxx have lots to choose from, and in a variety of colours and sizes. I chose a green and antique-gold coloured plate. This is the base of my Valentines gift hamper. Like I said completely non-traditional. I’m not using a typical hamper or box but a beautiful elegant plate which doesn’t have to be discarded after you’ve finished using your goodies, but could be displayed somewhere in your home. I then looked for various goodies in the same colour scheme, and found lots of nice nik-naks.
Candles – Again you can find a mountain of candles in various colours, scents and sizes. I specifically chose these ones because of the way they look. The pretty design on the top is adorable and works so well together in my Valentines gift hamper.
Soaps – I chose the little cute olive soaps, which look very Earthy, but amazing when put together in this Valentines gift hamper.
A diffuser – beautifully boxed and complimentary to the colour scheme. Whilst I was in store, I actually put the things together and thought about presentation. I also looked at other products to see what would look good. I rejected quite a few things before I chose this diffuser. There is nothing to stop you from experimenting, all you need is time and a little creative imagination!
Finally, scented rose shaped soaps. I wanted something to contrast the green in the hamper, and searching through TK Maxx, I came across a set of these little soaps in red, pink and white. I took these out of the packaging and placed them in the presentation plate. I love how the roses contrast the Earthy green.
This gift hamper is incredible. I am ecstatic with the result. I love the colour scheme and the contents. Best of all, this hamper isn’t restricted to use only on valentines day. You could easily give this to a friend for Galentines or maybe Mum on Mother’s Day or even for birthdays. I love putting these gift hampers together. You can experiment so much and come up with something incredibly elegant and sophisticated without breaking the bank.
Now over to you my fellow Gift Goonies. Guess the price of the hamper and be in with a chance to win. Leave your answer in the comments section, and the person whose guess is the closest to the cost of the hamper will win it as a prize. Good luck!
