Give Affordable Interior Design as a Gift
Over the last few months, a lot of us have been spending more and more time at home. Some of us are working from home, some of us are restricted to our homes and some of us have moved back to our family homes. Whatever the reason may be, we are spending a lot more time at home and looking at our living spaces and designing them to suit our needs better.
A lot of people have also decided to decorate, renovate and spruce up areas of the home. The DIY projects on hold for months are happening and the interior designer that has been hidden deep inside us is coming out.
For some, interior design is simple and straight forward. For others like me, not so much. Some of us are really creative and have an artistic flair for colours and can put things together beautifully. The rest of us just buy bits and bobs and pray for the best. Actually, that is two extremes of a spectrum. Most of us have an idea of what we want from a room, but don’t know how to achieve our ideal space. So, how about hiring an affordable interior design service to help?
When I received a request to write about an affordable interior design service I was a bit sceptical as to how it fits in with gifts and gift ideas and what I write on my blog. But on reflection, I actually realised what a great gift this would make. This gift isn’t ideal for everyone but it is a fantastic gift idea for specific people and makes an amazing gift during isolation.
Let me introduce you to Willow and Hunt
Willow and Hunt is a company run by a very passionate interior designer named Debbie who strongly feels everyone should be able to afford access to bespoke and beautiful styled rooms.
This organisation is all about providing a service to people who want designer homes/rooms without the designer price tag. Willow and Hunt want to provide an affordable interior design service to everyone and want to squash the myth that hiring an interior designer is expensive.
A company that is all about providing style for your home, they work together with their client to understand their needs and what they are looking for in terms of design and practicality.
They work on-line or in person, but with the current situation, everything is communicated online or via the phone.
How it Works?
Willow and Hunt follow a three step design process.
Firstly somebody from Willow and Hunt will contact clients with a questionnaire and a phone call to determine ideas, goals, likes and dislikes with regards to design.
Once a discussion takes place as to what needs doing and what result the client wants to achieve, a design scheme is delivered straight to the clients inbox. This will be in the form of a concept mood board. This will be a visual look of how the designer sees the room(s) coming together.
If the client is happy with the mood board concept, then the client will be given the final design. This includes Floor plans with paint colours and artwork placement, a final mood board and a 3D visual ( a comprehensive insight on how the room will look).

Who does this affordable interior design service make a perfect gift for?
There are so many people this would make an ideal gift for.
Parents – How awesome would this be as a gift to your Mum and Dad. Give Mum and Dad some amazing ideas to decorate their house.
Siblings – If any of your siblings live with Family this would make an ideal gift. You could gift your sibling room decoration as something that they can put their stamp on in the family home.
Teenagers – If you’ve got teenage kids, I’m sure they’ve expressed interests in designing their own rooms. How awesome would this gift be for older teens who want their room to reflect their personality.
Parents to be – If you know any parents expecting a baby and need to decorate and design a nursery, think of what a fabulous gift this would make.
Friends moving into a new home – Perfect gift idea – no explanation needed.
A newly-wed couple – An amazing gift for them to do something together in the space they live in.
Treat yourself – Why not give yourself the gift of affordable interior design. Get someone to look at your living space with fresh eyes and help you achieve the decor of your dreams.
Why this makes a Great Gift
In my opinion a great gift is all about giving things that will be loved and appreciated. And don’t we all want beautiful homes? Don’t we all want to utilise the space we have? Don’t we all want to create a little haven for ourselves? Of course we do. That is why this will make an ideal gift for so many people.
Also how out of the box is this gift idea? It’s unique and quirky. It’s like giving someone an experience but rather than a day trip or a Spa break, this experience will bring visible change into their lives and will be with them for years.
In my opinion, this also makes a great gift for someone who needs to de-clutter and make a change in the home for better mental health. Having a living space that is fresh, clean and organised can do wonders mentally as well as physically and gifting an interior design service may just be the motivation someone needs to sort their living space and make it a sanctuary for themselves.
Home decor, interior design, DIY and home accessories are massive at the moment. If you look on Social media or shelves in Supermarkets, you’ll find everyone selling things for the home. Even fashion brands have created their own Home styling sections. And that is why this is the perfect gift for anyone with a living space.

I hope you can see that affordable interior design is possible to find and helping friends and family refresh their living spaces or transform their rooms makes a fantastic gift for so many reasons.
I would love to know what you all think. Would you gift an affordable interior design service to someone? It is something different to gift and not your run of the mill present.
